Like, actually burns them. With a flame.

Some mad genius has built a robot which prints out Donald Trump's tweets onto a piece of paper, then sets them on fire with a cigarette lighter.

What more do you want to know?

The robot, a rather cute little red thing, popped up on Twitter earlier today. Under the handle @burnedyourtweet, the person behind the profile says it is about "giving Trump's tweets the attention they deserve".

"I am a robot that automatically prints and burns trumps tweets," read two tweets, the only communication on the profile besides some videos of the aforementioned printed and burnt tweets.

The machine prints out Trump's tweets on the sort of paper you get as a receipt in a shop. A pair of scissors snips the paper (with the printed tweet) from the printer, with a mechanised arm swinging over to grab the paper and swing it toward a cigarette lighter.

In a dramatic final act, the lighter clicks on, setting the paper alight, before the smouldering and curling paper is dumped in an ashtray.

A post about @burnedyourtweet is going viral on Reddit, with many impressed at the bizarre invention.

"I love how the print and cut are all smooth and calm motions, followed by the pincher abruptly yanking it away," one person wrote.

"Even the camera panning appears robotic. I'm not sure we can rule out that this robot is sentient and somehow built itself," said another.

Keep an eye on @burnedyourtweet for more.
