Short On Time In The Morning? Make These Easy Grab-And-Go Brekkies

If you'd rather catch more Zzzz's than cook up a storm, these are for you.

Despite good intentions, mornings can end up being a blur of alarm snoozes, coffee and rushing out the door -- making breakfast non-existent.

To ensure breakfast doesn't fall by the wayside, try these quick and easy grab-and-go breakfasts -- from crunchy muesli bars, fruit-packed muffins, chia pudding pots to healthy banana bread.

These 10 on-the-go breakfasts are easy to prepare, so all you need to do is prep a batch the night before (or on the weekend) and grab one as you head out the door.

1. Crunchy baked granola bars

These fibre-rich brekkie treats make granola on-the-go-friendly. Combining those sweet and crunchy granola qualities in bar form, after baking in the oven, they're ready to be dipped in a bit of dark chocolate. (Omit the chocolate step to keep these really healthy.)

2. Lemon raspberry muffins

Make muffins a healthy breakfast experience by using whole grains, juicy berries, protein-packed Greek yoghurt and natural sweeteners. Don't worry, these lemon raspberry muffins are still everything you want: fluffy, moist and sweet.

3. Peanut butter and jelly chia pudding pots

Peanut butter lovers, these chia pudding pots are for you. With a creamy peanut butter and vanilla base, these pots are layered with blueberry chia compote and extra peanut butter because, well, why not. Simply prep them the night before and grab one on your way out the door.

4. Healthy banana bread

Unlike cafe banana bread with refined flour and sugar, this breakfast favourite is healthified thanks to whole grain flour and natural sweeteners. Bake, slice into portions and enjoy the whole week long.

5. Strawberry and quinoa parfait

This protein-packed brekkie uses quinoa (yep, it's not just for savoury dishes), yoghurt, honey, almonds and fresh strawberries. The result is an incredibly easy and light yet filling breakfast, perfect for on-the-go.

6. Rhubarb and strawberry whole wheat muffins

These rhubarb and strawberry muffins are the closest thing to eating cake for breakfast, and they're delicious. The fluffy, fruity muffins call for wholemeal spelt flour, which is a nice nutty, whole grain alternative to wheat.

7. Almond coconut granola bars

These no-bake homemade granola bars are a healthy, delicious and filling breakfast (or snack), requiring only almonds, coconut, oats, almond or peanut butter, and honey or maple syrup. Once set in the fridge, cut into individual portions so they're ready for breakfast all week.

8. Chocolate orange chia pudding

If you haven't forayed into the world of chia pudding before, now is a good time. These vegan chia pudding pots pair rich cacao powder with orange zest and juice to create a choc orange sensation. They're super easy to make and taste downright delicious.

9. Healthy baked oatmeal breakfast cups -- six ways

Bring porridge on-the-go with these oatmeal breakfast cups, made by combining and baking oats, plant milk and a variety of flavour options -- from apple cinnamon and lemon poppy seed, to peanut butter banana and orange cranberry. Bonus: they're refined sugar free, gluten free and vegan.

10. Carrot cake bliss balls

If you haven't got much room in your bag/hands, these bite-sized carrot cake bliss balls will do the trick. The carrot-y, chewy little balls couldn't be easier to prepare and are made from a mix of carrots, sunflower seeds, dates, coconut and cinnamon.
