Israel has officially delayed the date of an election to cater for a concert to be performed in the country by celebrity pop singer Britney Spears in July.
That's right. You read correctly.
The committee for the Israeli Labor Party, known as HaAvoda, pushed back its primary leadership election date scheduled for July 3 by one day in order to avoid a clash with a concert Spears has planned on the same day at Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv.

The committee made the decision based on fears the commotion caused by the concert would mean party members would not be able to access polling stations on the day, according to Jerusalem Online.
While the party committee didn't name Spears in their statement released on Wednesday, it did confirm the election reschedule also came due to uncertainty over the availability of security guards on voting day.
"The election date was delayed by one day due to the fact that there is a major event at Yarkon Park on July 3, 2017," the statement read according to Metro UK.
Spears is yet to have commented on the scheduling mix-up. Although, followers of the star have gone bonkers online expressing their glee about the hilarity of the situation in such large numbers, it even created a Twitter Moment.
Tel Aviv is the last stop currently scheduled for Spears' most recent tour, coming after visits she has planned for Japan and the Philippines in June.
