Michael Bublé's Wife, Luisana Lopilato, Confirms Son Beat Liver Cancer

Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer in November.

Michael Bublé’s wife Luisana Lopilato has confirmed their three-year-old son has beat cancer.

On Monday, the Argentine actress spoke out about Noah’s diagnosis for the first time.

“Thank God, my son is well,” Lopilato said in Spanish at a press conference in Buenos Aires. “When things like those that happened to us occur, your take on life changes.”

“It’s difficult for me to speak about this, it’s very recent and I’m still a bit sensitive about the subject,” she continued, according to The Daily Express. “My son’s recovery is a long process as you all know and he has to continue with check-ups. But we are very happy. We are looking forward to thinking about the future, to seeing our children grow.”

Noah’s cancer diagnosis was first revealed by Bublé in November. At the time, the Canadian crooner and his wife announced that they would both put their careers on hold while their son underwent four months of chemotherapy in the U.S.

Since then, the couple has stayed true to their word. Over the past few months, Bublé has cancelled a number of appearances in order to be with his family. Most recently, the 41-year-old singer dropped out of hosting the 2017 Juno Awards.

Now that Noah is in recovery, Bublé and his family have returned to their home in Buenos Aires. The singer’s wife now credits her faith and her family for helping them get through the past few months.

My faith in the fact God had a miracle helped me,” Lopilato said. “I became strong so my son would get better. I transmitted that to all my friends and family. As a family we were always very united and we fought this together. We did everything we could for our son, so he would come through this.”

The 29-year-old actress then thanked fans for all their love and support through this difficult time: “Out of respect I would like to thank people for their support, for the many prayers they said — for their love. I would like them to know and tell them that everything reached me and that it helped us a lot to get through this.”

“The love is daily, when people stop me in the street,” she added. “It’s wonderful to know that you’re accompanied in life and that people love you.”

Besides Noah, Bublé and Lopilato also have a one-year-old son named Elias.

Liver cancer — either hepatoblastoma or hepatocellular carcinoma — is very rare among kids and teens. Hepatoblastoma, however, is most common among young kids.
