Man At Coachella Festival Arrested After Stealing 100 Phones

That must have been one massive backpack.

Police have arrested a man who stole over 100 mobile phones at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival -- after people used popular phone-tracking apps to catch him red handed.

Reinaldo De Jesus Henao somehow managed to pick-pocket the phones during the opening weekend of the festival. It seems he wasn't well-versed in the art of mobile thievery, as he failed to turn each phone off as he took them.

Henao not happy his heist didn't go as planned.

This meant that those who were robbed could easily track their iPhones using the Find My Phone app and follow him across the festival. Eventually, he was detained by security.

Henao stored all 100 phones in his backpack. Since his arrest, some of the phones have been returned to their owners, while the rest have been placed in lost property.

As the festival season gets underway, this is a timely reminder to keep an eye on those valuables.
