Boy Jumps From 10th-Storey Window Using Umbrella As A Parachute

He was rushed to hospital where he underwent extensive surgery, according to reports.

A seven-year-old Chinese boy is lucky to be alive after he jumped from the 10th-storey window of his home, using a red umbrella as a parachute.

The boy had reportedly been left at home alone by his parents and was inspired to make the leap after watching a cartoon.

Witnesses said that his fall was partially broken by a power line, according to the South China Morning Post.

While it is not clear whether the child has suffered permanent injuries, however it has been reported that after undergoing extensive surgery he is no longer in a life-threatening condition.
