Ellen Finally Meets That Chicken Nugget Kid Sabotaging Her Twitter Record

Ellen DeGeneres has finally met the teen who’s on track to defeat her legendary record for most retweets ever. And she definitely threatened him to help her keep her Oscar selfie on top.

Carter Wilkerson made headlines earlier this month after Wendy’s told him he’d have to get 18 million retweets for a year supply of chicken nuggets. Currently, Wilkerson’s tweet is at 3.1 million retweets.

Ellen’s Oscar selfie is only at 3.3 million.

“Why are you trying to sabotage my selfie?” Ellen asked Wilkerson during his appearance on her show. “Why are you trying to do that? I worked really hard.”

All the 16-year-old wanted was some chicken nuggets and now he has almost 76,000 Twitter followers. Wilkerson has become an internet sensation since his tweet went up on April 5, even earning himself the coveted Twitter verification checkmark.

Last week, Ellen enlisted the help of Bradley Cooper to ask everyone retweeting Wilkerson’s tweet to simultaneously retweet their Oscar selfie. And now she’s both bribed and threatened Wilkerson to help, as well.

“If somehow you pass me, Carter, I will come to your house,” Ellen told Wilkerson after giving him a free gifts. “I will take that TV back. I will take the underwear back. And do more.”

Looks like things are about to get interesting.
