The ex-Bardot member and "Popstars" legend said the decision to join the show came from home.
"My mum was the person who suggested that I should be the Bachelorette. She, along with the rest of my family, know how much it means to me to find the right person to settle down with."
Sophie has been living on the Gold Coast near family but said she wants to be able to share that with someone special. "I love having my parents and family nearby, and spending time with my niece and nephews, but I'm missing that one person to share it with."
She was recently a trending topic all over social media with her absolutely hysterical edition of "Hard Chat" with Tom Gleeson, where fans got to see a Sophie taking the absolute piss out of herself.
Channel 10 have not yet announced when the new season of "The Bachelorette" will air, however Sophie will be joined by the master of all things love, Osher Günsberg, as he returns for his third season of filming the series.
Needless to say, suitors are already lining up.
