According to "The Hollywood Reporter" Jeff Goldblum is set to return to face off even more dinosaurs in the sequel to "Jurassic World".
The currently untitled "Jurassic World 2" will see the stars of the first film, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, returning in their roles, and while "THR" didn't specify if Goldblum was returning as his iconic character of Dr Ian Malcolm or not, we have pretty good reason to believe he will.
"Jurassic World" was written and directed by Colin Trevorrow, who won't be directing the sequel but DID have a hand in writing it. Trevorrow's first film made it very clear that it was set in the same universe as the original films, and even released a promotional shot of a book written by Ian Malcolm, confirming his existence in the context of "Jurassic World". Unless the sequel is about growing Jeff Goldblums from DNA they found in mosquitoes (which is also a film we would totally be down for).
Still, it looks like Malcolm was right all along...
"Jurassic World 2" is scheduled to open its gates mid-2018.
