Emma Stone Sent A Corsage To The Teen Who Asked Her To Prom

So sweet!

Jacob Staudenmaier, the teen who asked Emma Stone to prom with an epic “La La Land”-themed promposal, may not have gotten the Oscar winner to be his date, but he did get a cute gift from the star.

For the special night, Stone sent Staudenmaier a corsage and boutonniere, NBC 12 News reports. Along with her gift, Stone sent a handwritten note that said, “Jacob, a little something for you and your lucky date tomorrow. Have a great time! Much love.”

The teen shared a photo on Instagram of himself and his date on their way to the prom, wearing what appear to be the thoughtful gifts.

In the photo caption, Staudenmaier directed his followers to a YouTube video, of which the description reads, “I suck at captions but prom was fun except for when our bus driver break checked us and we went flying.”

The Arizona teen asked Stone to the prom with an elaborate video reenactment of the opening scene in “La La Land.” Stone politely declined the invite, as she was busy with work, but she did make sure to reach out.

“Jacob, thanks for making the greatest proposal I have ever received. I can’t tell you what an honor that was and how much I smiled through that entire beautifully orchestrated video,” Stone wrote in a letter. “I’m in London working, but I hope you have the best time at prom, and I’m grateful you thought of me. Thank you.”
