We got you covered.

It's totally understandable if you have awards show fatigue. It feels like 100 years since the Oscars announced the wrong winner but here we are, still making jokes about it all these months later.

Still, the show had some pretty inspiring moments, being the first year that MTV merged film and TV nominees into the same categories, and stopped using gendered categories, it was a real night of inclusion.

In case you can't be bothered watching every minute of the MTV Movie and TV Awards, here are the top moments and clips you might have missed.

This year's host Adam DeVine whipped out his beastly pipes and did a "Beauty and the Beast" inspired opening number. The stage was on fire (literally) and he was joined by Josh Gad, Hailee Steinfeld and Rebel Wilson the giant teapot. Hugh Jackman loved the whole thing because of course he did.

Asia Kate Dillon was the show's first presenter, opening the show as a symbol of the move to gender-neutral award categories. The actor is the first gender non-binary identifying performer, who plays a non-binary character, to be cast in a major TV series, featuring on Showtime's "Billions".

Opening the show, Dillon said, "Tonight we celebrate portrayals of the human experience, because the only distinction we should be making when it comes to awards is between each outstanding performance."

The first award of the night went to Emma Watson for her role in "Beauty and the Beast". She gave a wonderfully inspiring acceptance speech about the new award categories.

"MTV's move to create a genderless award for acting will mean something different to everyone, but to me it indicates that acting is about the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes ― and that doesn't need to be separated into two different categories. Empathy, and the ability to use your imagination, should have no limits."

The first exclusive clip of the night was from "Spider-Man: Homecoming". The stars of the film, Tom Holland and Zendaya, introduced it, with Holland performing a weird gymnastic flippy-thing beforehand to impress his co-star.

The "Best Kiss" award went to Ashton Sanders & Jharrel Jerome for "Moonlight", which is actually a pretty big deal. The MTV awards are entirely fan voted, and they chose two black queer characters to take home the best kiss award.

The Best Kiss award has been treated as a joke in the past (in 1994 Jason James Richter was nominated alongside Keiko the whale for their smooch in "Free Willy") but there was a sincerity to this win that was really charming.

Accepting the award, Sanders said "This award is bigger than Jharrell and I, this represents more than a kiss. This is for those that feel like the others, the misfits. This represents us."

The Fast & Furious franchise was awarded the MTV Generation Award. In the past, MTV used to award a "Lifetime Achievement Award", it was always a bit of a joke (Chewbacca and Godzilla were recipients). In the early 2000s they replaced that with the MTV Generation Award, which was a little more serious. It's awarded to an actor for their achievement in movies.

Past recipients include Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon and Robert Downey Jr. They are now joined by the Fast & Furious franchise. Accepting the award, Vin Diesel remembered his co-star Paul Walker.

"You had given Paul Walker and I an award for Best Duo, and now 15 years later I'm with my whole family and you're giving us the generation award," Diesel said, before thanking the entire generation.

Speaking of Fast & Furious alums, Gal Gadot introduced the final trailer for "Wonder Woman" which is coming out in just a few weeks . The new trailer sees... basically more of what we've already seen. A lot of Diana deflecting bullets with a shield, Diana deflecting bullets with her cuffs, and occasionally Diana deflecting bullets with her shield AND her cuffs.

There was also a clip for the new "IT" movie which was so harmless and totally not scary at all. If anyone was scared it definitely wasn't us!!! We're definitely not trying to delete the clown emoji from our phones, why would you even think that!

Trevor Noah accepted the award for Best Host for "The Daily Show" and in an superbly succinct speech, thanked Donald Trump "for the comedy", and France "for making the right decision".

Somebody woke Mark Wahlberg up from a nap or something and he sullenly introduced a clip from "Transformers: The Last Night".

The clip is somewhat surreal so, to break it down: Anthony Hopkins apparently runs a retirement home for Transformers, alluding to them suffering from dementia. He calls Mark Wahlberg "dude". Then a woman falls out of a Transformer.

Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn made the one joke we were all dreading.

The "Snatched" stars did the Oscars "Moonlight" / "La La Land" mix-up gag and, ugh. It's looking like we're going to have to endure that joke until the inevitable heat-death of the universe and that is truly grim.

Finally, the "Stranger Things" kids are still utterly adorable. Millie Bobby Brown won for Best Actor in a Show, and the Netflix series won Best Show, the night's final award. The entire young cast got up on stage to accept the award, given to them by Netflix's other band of youths, the cast of "13 Reasons Why".

Accepting her award, Millie Bobby Brown was completely lovely, thanking the show's creators for giving her a "badass, female, iconic character".

Accepting the award for Best Show Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas, thanked Netflix and gave it probably the best plug its had in years.

"Where would we be without Netflix? When you're having a bad day, what do you do when you go home?"

He's so right.
