Ed Sheeran Announced Australian And New Zealand Tour Dates

He's in love with the shape of us.

Ed Sheeran has felt the push and pull like a magnet to Australia and New Zealand, today announcing he's returning down under for a 2018 tour in March.

The announcement had been publicly teased by both Ed and Frontier Touring, who will be bringing the singer out next year.

Luckily, the touring company thought ahead for any fans who were staying up late to hear the announcement.

Unfortunately, in a controlled test carried out in this office, the above note did not work.

Taking his third studio album "÷" ("Divide") on a world tour, Sheeran will be performing unaccompanied on stage with only a guitar and effect pedals to keep him company.

Tickets for the gig are surprisingly affordable for a major international act, with Aussie C-Reserve tickets going for $69, and front standing general admission at $167. He truly is a man of the people.

Here's where Ed announced he'll be playing next year:

Saturday, March 3: Perth Stadium, Perth, WA

Wednesday, March 7: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, SA

Saturday, March 10: Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, VIC

Friday, March 16: ANZ Stadium, Sydney, NSW

Tuesday, March 20: Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane, QLD

Saturday, March 24: Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland, NZ

Thursday, March 29: Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin, NZ

Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster on Tuesday, May 23, with a number of limited tickets being made available via a fan pre-sale on the 16th.
