These Harry Potter fans know how to party.
PotterCon started in New York in 2013 as an “adult-oriented fan convention” where Pottheads could mix and mingle while engaging in cosplay and imbibing Harry Potter-themed alcoholic drinks. This year, it’s being held in 14 cities including Boston, Chicago and Las Vegas.
The magical events typically go down in convention halls or concert venues. They last about six hours and revolve around a live stage show, which includes a Sorting Hat ceremony, costume contest and and trivia games. There are chances to play Wizard’s Chess and Quidditch, too. Some of the 14 city’s events are dubbed PotterParties, though their activities are similar.
Tickets to this season’s remaining PotterCon events start at $15. You can purchase online, then take flight!
