For the first time in 11 years, Placebo have announced a massive tour across the country.
Spanning their 20 years, the band are bringing a massive setlist covering their greatest hits and back-catalogue of classics. They haven't played a show in Australia since Soundwave in 2014.
We're happy to be coming back to Australia this September to deliver fans something extra special," Brian Molko said. "Let's just say there will be songs in the set that I've sworn never to play again."
Molko continued, saying that it was time to give their most patient fans what they were really asking for. "We rarely play our most commercially successful material. A 20-year anniversary tour seems like the right time to do so. That's our intention. This tour is very much for the fans."
"So, if you want to see us play songs like 'Pure Morning' and 'Nancy Boy', which we haven't played in almost 10 years and may not play again, then you'd better come along to these shows! We'll have some surprises in there too."
Here's where they'll be playing later this year:
Monday, 4th September - Perth Arena, WA
Wednesday, 6th September - Adelaide Entertainment Centre Theatre, SA
Friday, 8th September - Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne VIC
Saturday, 9th September - Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney NSW
Monday, 11th September - Brisbane Convention Centre, QLD
Tuesday, 12th September - Newcastle Entertainment Centre, NSW
Thursday, 14th September - AIS Arena, Canberra ACT
