Mother Orangutan Escapes Perth Zoo Enclosure To Rescue Baby Son

Don't mess with mums.

This is a story of a mother's love overcoming all barriers... zoo barriers.

A mother orangutan escaped her enclosure to save her son who accidentally fell out of it on Sunday.

But as innocent as this gesture was, the duo caused the partial shut-down and evacuation of Perth Zoo, reported the ABC.

The mother, Seraka, and her son, Sungai, were then returned to their pen by staff.

No visitor or animal were harmed in the process.

The entire incident took 15 minutes, according to an ABC report.
