Victoria Police are hunting for a man who they believe is responsible for a string of sexual assaults on Melbourne trams.
On four separate occasions since April last year, victims were inappropriately touched while travelling on busy tram routes running through Melbourne's CBD. Police believe the attacks were all committed by the same man.
The first assault occurred on a Saturday evening in April last year.
Police have released this image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the alleged assaults. The man pictured is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, is at least 180cm tall, and has a medium build, grey curly hair and glasses.
Shortly after 5:30pm on April 16, 2016, a man approached the victim on tram Route 109 on Collins Street, inappropriately touched them and then left.
The second incident took place four months later on Wednesday August 16, 2016, on the Route 96 tram on Bourke Street, near Russell Street, shortly after 1:35pm.
The two latest assaults were just over a month apart -- on the evenings of March 16 and then April 26 -- on the Route 1 tram on Swanston Street and then again on Route 96 near Parliament Railway Station.
