Racist Tells Reporter To 'Go Back To Where She Came From'

"I was born in Australia."

Channel Nine reporter Neary Ty has been racially vilified by a man on the street while filming a story in Geelong, Victoria.

She was approached on Wednesday while covering a house invasion that was allegedly sparked by a neighbourhood dispute.

The man questioned Ty about which country she was born in, to which she replied: "I was born in Australia."

The resident, who hasn't been identified, didn't respond well and told Ty to "go back to where she came from" before storming away from the cameras.

Since the incident, Ty shared the man's racist remarks with her followers.

"You see and hear a lot on the road while reporting, but I wasn't expecting this in Geelong today," she wrote on Twitter.
