Police Release Brutal North Bondi Assault Footage

Investigations are still continuing following a wild brawl in February.

A 33-year-old man was chased from his picnic blanket at North Bondi by a group of men attacking him with club-like weapons, newly released video shows.

The man appears to be cornered by a group of men, who brace weapons above their heads while chasing him in an area filled with sunbathers.

At one point the shirtless man falls to the ground as one of the attackers hits him on the head.

NSW Police has released the footage of the assault, which took place on a grassy reserve near Sydney's North Bondi beach on 16 February, in a bid to find the culprits.

At the time of the attack, several reports had suggested multiple weapons were used by a group of men involved in the bashing.

The injured 33-year-old was taken to St Vincent's Hospital after being treated by paramedics at the scene.

He was left with a number of lacerations following the assault.

Police also released images of a white Mercedes sedan which is believed to be linked to the incident. It was last seen in the North Bondi area.
