One Killed And Twelve Injured In Victorian Bus Crash

The bus rolled onto its side after a taxi allegedly collided with its side.

One person has died and 12 people injured in a collision between a taxi and a minibus in northern Victoria on Wednesday.

Victoria Police have confirmed a taxi carrying two passengers collided with the bus, which was carrying 12 passengers, forcing it to roll-over onto its side at around 3:30pm at the intersection of Pyke Rd and Turnball Rd, Ardmona.

While the exact circumstances of the incident remain unknown, it is believed the taxi hit the minibus on its side.

Twelve people are understood to have sustained injuries in the collision and the driver of the taxi is assisting police with inquiries into the accident.

Two air ambulances have also been dispatched to the scene of the crash and paramedics treated passengers for injuries before transporting six people to hospital, according to the ABC.
