Woman Killed After Being Struck By Van At Melbourne Supermarket

A woman has been killed after being struck by a van in a supermarket car park in Melbourne's southeast.

Police attended the scene of a fatal crash in Patterson Lakes on Saturday afternoon. It's thought that the fatal collision occurred just after 12.30pm.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and tried to revive the woman but she died at the scene.

The male driver of the van has been interviewed by police, authorities said.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the exact cause of the incident was being investigated.

"The male driver of the vehicle is assisting police with their inquiries," she told Fairfax Media.
