The Brownlow Medal Just Turned Into The Best Ad For Marriage Equality

'Love is love' is the new black.

The glamorous people have arrived looking -- as Bruce McAvaney would say -- utterly "delicious" on the red carpet ahead of the 2017 Brownlow Medal presentation at Crown in Melbourne.

The night is young, but already, it's hard to imagine anyone will top Tracey Gahan and Erin Phillips for the title of most glamorous couple. Phillips, of course, won the best-and-fairest award in the inaugural AFLW season.

Oh wait. Mo Hope and her partner Isabella Carlstrom just slayed it too. Love always wins indeed, ladies. Except in tennis. But we digress.

Meanwhile, Fox footy journalist Neroli Meadows thought she'd sneak in incognito, and went for the camouflage look. Sorry, Nezza. We found ya!

Reigning Brownlow medallist Patrick Dangerifeld (who is ineligible this year after the softest suspension ever) looked dapper in a black tux. His wife Mardi wore a thing that looks like fairy floss.

Retiring St Kilda great Nick Riewoldt also looked dapper in a black tux. His wife Catherine is absolutely gorgeous in a garment which may well be part of a top French designer's "melting marshmallow" range.

Lolly-themed frocks are clearly in this year. Here's Sydney Swan Josh Kennedy, who also happens to look dapper in a black tux, alongside his partner Ana Calle in what looks like some sort of lolly wrapper.

Meanwhile these two looked absolutely gorgeous in their matching shirts, pants and boots. And don't you just LOVE the way the bag matches the outfits. The Brownlow really is all about the accessories.

Oh look. Here's Luke Shuey, who kicked THAT goal after the siren to win get the Eagles over the line in the elimination final against Port Adelaide. His thrifty partner Danielle Orlando picked up something she'll also be able to wear at Rio Carnivale.

We'll update this story with any particularly stunning looks as they come to hand.
