The alleged driver was apprehended and charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and drive furiously.

She was refused bail and will face Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.

The other woman in the car remains in hospital after a mental health assessment, while the baby is in the care of government services, police said.

Authorities are still searching for the male passenger in the car.
