Lisa Wilkinson Celebrates 25th Wedding Anniversary By Saying 'I Do'

Wilkinson and husband Peter FitzSimons met after being introduced by 60 Minutes reporter Liz Hayes.

Lisa Wilkinson and husband Peter FitzSimons have continued their 25th wedding anniversary celebrations by saying 'I do' for the second time.

The pair -- who first wed in 1992 -- met after being introduced to each other by '60 Minutes' reporter Liz Hayes and according to FitzSimons, they "didn't muck around".

"It just felt right. It didn't feel hard. It was on a Sunday night, and I said: I'm tired of this, will you marry me?' And she said: 'Yes, I will marry you'," he told Mia Freedman.

Wilkinson -- who is HuffPost Australia's Editor-at-large -- has previously said that even after a quarter of a century of marriage, she and FitzSimons remain absolutely smitten with each other.

"He's a fantastic dad," she told the 9Honey podcast.

"In terms of his professional life ... I think he's an exquisite writer he makes me cry constantly."
