The Best Signs From Australia's Marriage Equality Rallies

People show their support at the YES March for Marriage Equality on October 21, 2017 in Sydney, Australia.

Neither rain nor the desire to stay in bed stopped LGBTQ Australians and their supporters from marching for marriage equality in Australian cities over the weekend.

The sass, wit and, of course, pride were in abundance in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Alice Springs, Hobart, Coolangatta, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin and Canberra as punters rallied in their (very, very colourful) thousands.

If you weren't lucky enough to be there yourself, then allow us to briefly bless your day and hopefully take away the weekend-ending blues with a selection of our favourite signs from the 'Vote Yes' rallies.

Had a tip top day. Marched in Sydney to support #marriageequality, there was such a great amount of energy and enthusiasm 🎉 (tbh can't imagine what 10-15000 'no' voters would look like - probably pretty morose) - Some girl handed me a pug puppy and it almost felt more natural than being passed a human baby. - Had a great time watching @theguiltyfeminist recorded at @giantdwarfhq --- - Thanks @mikaylie99, @madisonborgman_art, @marcelitatc, @suepagemt, Belinda and Jordi for an incredible day and evening - (the final photo is a just a funny promo from technocity advertising mullets or something)
