Michelle Obama Helped A Couple Exchange Their Wedding Vows

How is any other wedding you ever attend going to top that?

It’s not all work for former first lady Michelle Obama as she prepares for her nationwide tour to promote her new book, Becoming. On Saturday, she was on hand in her hometown to help a young couple tie the marital knot.

Stephanie Rivkin and Joel Sircus were married at Theater on the Lake in Chicago. Obama didn’t officiate the wedding, but she led the couple through their vows.

Rivkin is the daughter of Robert Rivkin, the city’s deputy mayor, and Cindy Moelis, the president of a charity organization founded by Penny Pritzker, who served under President Barack Obama. Pritzker, a longtime friend of the Obamas, also was one of the president’s major financial contritbutors.

Check out footage of part of the wedding ceremony in the video from TMZ up top. And then really think about how the next wedding you attend is going to top that. (Spoiler: It won’t.)
