Christopher Parker

Doctor passionate about public health and the Western Bulldogs

Christopher Parker is a doctor trained in Australia, where he worked prior to pursuing a Master in Public Health from the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. He has worked in a variety of settings including major metropolitan hospitals, rural emergency departments, and remote Indigenous Australian community clinics.

His research experience includes rates of liver cancer amongst Indigenous Australians; knowledge about hospital-acquired infections; and comparative Indigenous health policies in Chile, Australia, New Zealand and the United States. His interests include addressing Indigenous health inequities; fair access to health care services; the upstream determinants of health; reading literature; and Australian Rules Football.
