Dr Petra Bueskens is an Honorary Fellow in the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Melbourne. She is a Psychotherapist in private practice and a Lecturer in Social Science at the Australian College of Applied Psychology. She writes about motherhood, gender relations, social and political theory and psychotherapy in both scholarly and popular fora. Her edited book Mothering and Psychoanalysis: Clinical, Sociological and Feminist Perspectives was published by Demeter Press in 2014.
