Designer Charles Youssef's latest collection was inspired by Japanese street style, Zen gardens and strong female role models. So Aveda Global Creative Director Antoinette Beenders looped the models' full, thick locks into what she called a "Zen pony." She explained, "It's modern and strong, but it has soft, feminine details, including shine, texture and pony placement." Creative Director Nicole Hanley spent time studying 16th and 17th century Spanish paintings at the Prado Museum in Madrid. She used that experience to "create a collection that is equally rich in color, texture and tone." Lead stylist Elie Camoro for Fekkai felt that the models' hair "should have natural texture and an 'undone' look." To perfect this vision, he used Blowout Hair Refresher Dry Shampoo and accessorized with cozy black beanies.

"The purpose of this collection with Kanye West was to create a uniform, minimal look; not just with the beauty but also with the models and the staging," said Redken Global Creative Director Guido. "Kanye and I discussed embracing each models’ natural hair for the look but in the end, the head wraps gave each head shape a dramatic silhouette and eliminated the hair completely, giving the clothing a very linear feeling. To smooth out strands, the pro stylist carefully worked in Diamond Glow Dry Oil.
