Hell Must Have Frozen Over Because There's Going To Be A 'High School Musical 4'

We are so not in this together.

In completely unrelated news, Zac Efron has fled to a deserted island off the coast of Thailand never to be heard from again.

For those who were betting on (wink) a fourth "High School Musical" movie now is your time to collect because on Tuesday, Disney Channel announced that the Wildcats will live again. Not in your nightmares, but on TV.

"High School Musical is part of Disney Channel’s DNA. It embodies all that we stand for," Disney Channel president Gary Marsh said in a statement. "As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we're excited to announce 'the start of something new' -- as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth installment of the 'High School Musical' franchise."

By start of something new he means the (re)start of a series that should have never survived after its first installment, right? Just checking.

According to the press release, the fourth movie will introduce a whole new set of singing, sports-playing East High Wildcats, as well as members of their rival school, the West High Knights.

We know, the dramatic tension is palpable.

All of the "HSM" OGs are unlikely to return (see Efron and deserted island above), but who knows what Ashley Tisdale is up to these days. Casting will begin soon, but there is no definite premiere date.

Yet ... dun, dun, dun
