Sasha And Malia Obama Sit Through Their Parents' Party Looking SO Grown Up

Sigh. They grow up so fast.

President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle hosted a small, intimate dinner party at their home Thursday night, as they've done many times over the course of his presidency.

But, unlike the state dinners that have come before, this one was different. For the first time, Sasha and Malia Obama were invited to join the festivities.

Looking absolutely stunning and so grown up, Malia, 17, and Sasha, 14, sat through their parents' boring party with poise and elegance. Sasha wore a braided updo with a red gown with sheer paneling:

And Malia took a cue from her mom in a strapless, embellished dress and side-swept hair:

While we sit here and admire the girls from afar, the Washington Post reports they got an especially sweet shout-out from the guest of honor, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

“I admire you very much, both of you, for your extraordinary strength and your grace,” Trudeau told Sasha and Malia during his speech, adding that their childhood in the White House will give them “strength and wisdom beyond your years for the rest of your life.”

Now, all we want to know is, what did Malia and Sandra Oh (above, seated to Malia's right) talk about?!
