It's the squad everyone wants to be a part of, and it has nothing to do with Taylor Swift.

The cast of the hotly anticipated anti-superhero flick, 'Suicide Squad', put down their weapons in order to hit the red carpet on Monday evening (EDT) in New York City for the movie's premiere. Showing a continued dedication to its big push into live video, Twitter live streamed the entire event on a dedicated page alongside real-time Tweets.

Starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Viola Davis and Aussies Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney, 'Suicide Squad' is predicted to "break new ground and box office records", not to mention well and truly launch Robbie's career into the Hollywood stratosphere.

Directed by David Ayer, the film follows a team of dangerous, incarcerated supervillains who are hauled out of prison by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) in order to complete a top-secret mission.
