The actor, who played "Screech" on the sitcom, was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago.
Coogler, who worked with the actor on the Marvel film, said Boseman hid his cancer diagnosis from him.
Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts have all lent their support to the star.

The actor, also known for his roles 'Life Of Pi and many Bollywood films, died in a hospital in India on Wednesday.
"If I choose to have a child, I am taking a greater risk of potentially subjecting my child to deep grief."
The singer is speaking publicly for the first time about her mother Andrea's most recent diagnosis.
It was the real-life version of the TLC series.
