Bodycam footage released Wednesday shows a panicked and fearful Floyd pleading with Minneapolis police officers in the minutes before his death.
"It takes a heck of a lot of oxygen to talk," Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin told Floyd before he died. Chauvin and three other cops have been fired and charged.
Chauvin, the former police officer charged with George Floyd's murder, made his first court appearance via video monitor from Oak Park Heights prison.
Derek Chauvin, the former officer who kneeled on Floyd's neck, faces a more severe charge of second-degree murder.
The officer was seen in a video kneeling on George Floyd's neck while he was restrained and pleading for air.
