harm minimisation

Some things just belong in the '80s.
We cannot arrest and imprison our way out of our serious drug problems.
We need to make it as safe as possible for when our kids experiment.
How many more people need to die before we change this flawed system?
One also has to wonder what message we send to people when we say that we would rather arrest you and have you risk overdose than make sure you are safe.
Having lost a child and worked with so many families in the same position, it is a pain that never dissipates. And while we cannot bring our own children back, we can sure as hell try and make sure such tragedy and pain doesn’t happen for other families.
