Pilot whale

“Our focus is what do with the carcasses,” Nic Deka, Parks and Wildlife Service incident controller said.
A massive rescue operation will try and save a pod of whales beached on Tasmania's West Coast.
Beachgoers battled to help a pod of pilot whales refloat back into the sea, after coming too close to the shore in the US state of Georgia. Rescuers were able to push six back into deeper waters, but three died.
Officials from New Zealand's Department of Conservation made the "heartbreaking decision" to euthanise the whales.
