Cases are rising as normal life resumes. But blaming holidaymakers and partygoers ignores government failures and socioeconomic problems.

They may have been spared the high mortality rates of older generations, but COVID-19 threatens to permanently scar the career prospects of young people.

The children I met won’t turn away from a problem, or dismiss a challenge as too hard. As well as looking out for others, they want to make a difference and have become advocates for causes they believe in.
