An 18-year-old woman is among three people charged with serious animal cruelty offences in relation to the live baiting Greyhound Racing Inquiry in Queensland.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the joint inquiry with the RSPCA led to a 48-year-old woman being charged with three serious animal cruelty offences and one count of interfering with a witness.

"It will be alleged that greyhounds were live baited at a greyhound training facility in Churchable," police said in a statement.

"Police will further allege that social media was used to harass and intimidate a witness.

"Police are actively monitoring social media sites to ensure appropriate behavior is adhered to."

A 25-year-old man has also been charged with three serious animal cruelty offences and held in custody with both expected to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old woman has been charged with two serious animal cruelty offences and released on bail.

Current affairs program 4 Corners uncovered endemic live baiting in the Australian greyhound racing industry in a February investigation, showing footage of live piglets, possums and rabbits being used to lure racing dogs.

The inquiry continues.
