It’s the cultural capital of Australia renowned for having four seasons in one day, but unlike it’s dryer, neighbouring states, Melbourne’s wet weather only adds to its appeal.

Think: outdoor heated laneways with the distinct scent of roasted coffee beans, old pubs offering mulled wine alongside an open fire and a local style that proves Australian fashion is so much more than denim shorts and Havaianas.

While its year-round drizzle may deter some travelers, most residents will tell you the rain generally only lasts in short bursts, before the clouds open up to sunshine.
