A New Zealand air force plane has been forced to make an emergency landing in Auckland, after reports of smoke in the cockpit of the plane which was carrying 17 people.
The Royal NZ Air Force plane was reportedly flying at low altitude and dumping fuel near Auckland while the Fire Service told Stuff.co.nz the plain was experiencing loss of cabin pressure and smoke in the cockpit.

Multiple ambulances and firetrucks were ready at the base as the plane managed a safe landing amid stormy conditions about 11.30am AEST on Wednesday.
There were no reports of injuries and a defence statement was expected soon. The Whenuapai Air Base is about 20 minutes north of Auckland.
