Ruby Rose's 'Orange Is The New Black' character made a few prison politics errors but the actor's commentary of the Australian Federal Election is sharp, to say the least.
In a cheeky spray on Twitter, she asks whether Trump is Pauline Hanson in drag and pledges her support for parties that will introduce marriage equality.
She also dredges up the worst of former PM Tony Abbott and shares Australia's collective confusion over senate parties.
AUSTRALIA IS VOTING TODAY????!! Oh man oh man oh man... I've been so distracted by American politics I didn't know it was today. Here goes..— Ruby Rose (@RubyRose) July 1, 2016
It's crazy... But surely nothing ( aside from Trump ) could be worse than Tony... What WAS THAT MOCKERY. https://t.co/CQskZ6nJou— Ruby Rose (@RubyRose) July 1, 2016
At least this is a thing of the past https://t.co/i9yhaKx5C6— Ruby Rose (@RubyRose) July 1, 2016
This was a real moment https://t.co/BSCgju0Uz6— Ruby Rose (@RubyRose) July 1, 2016
Does Australia still have the pirate party, the dog friendly party, the racist party and the possum picnic party to confuse voters?— Ruby Rose (@RubyRose) July 2, 2016
Oh and the sex party.. Like seriously? We still have those wasn't their the boat party too and not like an actual party on a boat.— Ruby Rose (@RubyRose) July 2, 2016
SO VOTE LABOUR AND THE SEX PARTY ( I can't believe that's legit and the only way to get marriage equality.) https://t.co/XDcsMxmQu5— Ruby Rose (@RubyRose) July 2, 2016
When a fan said Hanson was better than Trump, Rose put forward her tongue-in-cheek theory.
