Australian singer Sia has reportedly filed for divorce from her film producer husband Erik Lang, ending a two-and-a-half year marriage.
The 41-year-old singer is said to have cited irreconcilable differences in documents filed in Los Angeles, according to entertainment news website TMZ.
The news comes after the couple told TMZ earlier indicated they were splitting up. "After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple. We are, however, dedicated to remaining friends," they were quoted as saying at the time.
The pair were married in mid-2014.
The Chandelier singer previously hinted that fame was putting pressure on the relationship in an interview with the Nova radio station.
"It's kind of disappointing because we can't do anything. I'm kind of a bit famous," she's quoted as saying. "I didn't realise I'm so famous."
The news comes ahead of US People's Choice Awards on January 18, where Sia is nominated in several categories.
