Tuesday saw the premiere of ABC's 'Stargazing Live', a massive three-night TV event hosted by Professor Brian Cox and Julia Zemiro which urged viewers to look up to the night sky. The show, based on a format from the BBC, was a gorgeous exploration of space from the comfort of your own home, but when an astro-rock star joined the show, it's safe to say a new star was born.
Dubbed 'Space Gandalf', astro-tour guide Greg Quicke won the hearts and minds of viewers with his approach to all things science.

The motorcycle riding, surf-loving 'practical astrologer' runs stargazing tours in Broome which he describes as giving people a "living breathing conscious experience of being on a planet that is turning as it hurtles through space".
And as his name lit up the Twitterverse, the astro-wizard took it all in his stride.
How mad is this! Hello all you beautiful people travelling around on this incredibly beautiful planet with me. You are all so gorgeous. Love pic.twitter.com/GZ0AyJ8p87— Greg Quicke (@GregQuicke) April 4, 2017
