Eurovision 2017 Is Over And This Is Who Won

Portugal has taken out the coveted title of Eurovision winner for 2017 after receiving a record breaking score.

Salvador Sobral performed Amar Pelos Dois (Love For Both) at the grand final in Kiev, Ukraine. The song was written by his sister Luisa Sobral.

This is the first time Portugal has won the song contest, and it has been 53 years since they made it to the top five.

They won by a score of 758 points with each country awarding two sets of 12, 10, eight to one points to their 10 favourite songs.

In a close second was Bulgaria with the song 'Beautiful Mess'.

Australia's Isaiah Firebrace came ninth with a score of 173 points.
