A motorcycle display team from the Indian Army Service Corps became the holders of a new world record on Sunday.

The team named the 'Tornadoes' broke the Guinness World Record for the most people mounted on a single 500 motorcycle when they managed to pile 58 men onto the vehicle and then rode it for 1,200 metres.

The team broke the previous 2010 record of 56 men held by the Army Signal Corps at the Air Force Station in Yelahanka, Bengaluru.

Formed in 1982, the team currently holds a total of 19 world and national records and according to the New Indian Express, the 'Tornadoes' pride themselves on their reputation for performing daring stunts and breaking-records.
