Emma Watson looks forward to watching her Hermione successor Noma Dumezweni in upcoming play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," according to a Tweet she shared Saturday.

Dumezweni's casting, announced by the show's producers in December, sparked Internet controversy when some gross people Twitter users shared their dismay that a black actress would be playing the role, claiming the original Hermione was white. Rowling herself tweeted to clear up that particular misconception and show her support for the casting decision.

The stage play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" will be the eighth story in the series, picking up with Harry Potter 19 years after the end of "Deathly Hallows" (around the same time as the book's epilogue, when Harry's youngest son, Albus, heads to Hogwarts for his first year). The play will center on Albus as well as Harry, who is now an "overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children."

In a recent interview, Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter in the film franchise, also expressed his desire to see the new sequel, which hits the London stage this July. Maybe he and Watson can sneak into the theater together.
